Yarrow Tincture

Suggested uses:

  • Great first aid plant
  • Diaphoretic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, diuretic, bitter, hypotensive, anti-microbial
  • Stops bleeding, even serious wounds, and hemorrhaging (can use tincture, but salve would be better)
  • Stops nose bleeds if put a little tincture or salve up the nose
  • Reverses broken noses too
  • varicose veins, hemorrhoids (even bleeding ones), and clots- great to use salve on these 
  • bruises/ coagulated blood 
  • Can help concussions preventatively and afterward
  • old bumps and bruises 
  • Tones blood vessels
  • Infections to the bone
  • Nourishes bone marrow
  • leukemia 
  • Also for internal hemorrhaging (pooping blood, spitting up blood, etc.)
  • Effective indigestion relief, IBS, and ulcerative colitis 
  • Diverticulitis 
  • Endometriosis
  • Spleen remedy 
  • As a bitter, helps stomach and digestion
  • Prolapses
  • Relief from hot flashes (specifically hot flashes with a bright red face)
  • Induction of day sweating
  • Fever reliever
  • Radiation remedy (x-rays, cancer treatments, etc.)- ointment preventatively on surrounding tissue
  • Burn remedy 
  • Hypertension (also high blood pressure with type 2 Diabetes)
  • Contraindications: allergy to daisy family, kidney inflammation, bradycardia (abnormally slow heart action)- can use topically during pregnancy, but not internally
  • Can cause what it cures so do not use for more than 2 weeks at a time- could cause internal bleeding- rotate it
